EYFS (Reception)


The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team at Grange Primary School work together with parents/carers to ensure children are happy and settle quickly into school life. We offer a comprehensive Induction programme, which includes an open afternoon, home visits, visits to the classroom and information meetings.

Our curriculum is specifically planned for the EYFS pupils and emphasises the importance of learning through play and first-hand experience, whilst taking regard of the whole child’s development. Through the teaching of the prime areas (Communication and language; Physical development; Personal, social and emotional development) and the specific areas (Literacy; Mathematics; Understanding the world; Expressive arts and design) of learning, we aim to provide a rich and varied environment which challenges and stimulates children’s curiosity and imagination. We aim to develop their independence and responsibility within a supportive and secure setting, including an emphasis on using the outdoor environment.

Kids Choose the Style Rules Day

On Friday 15th, for one day only, the children will be able to choose the rules !! 

For a donation they will be able to choose any hair style/hair bows... Nail varnish / Temporarytattoos ... Trainers / Boots .... Jeans / Joggers / Leggings 

Please wear your usual school top and jumper/cardigan.  Thank you as always for your continued support.

Grange's Car Park

Please note that as of Monday 4th February, due to increasing accidents and incidents, our school car park will be for use by members of Grange staff only.  Please leave enough time to park in the surrounding area and walk your children in for clubs before and after school, for trips and any after school events.  Thank you as always for your co-operation
