School uniform

The staff and governors think it is important that children should wear school uniform, which we feel promotes a feeling of identity and belonging. Uniform can be purchased from:

The PTA have arranged that you can also order embroidered uniform online from Tesco.  They offer a wide range of items from logo polo shirts, jumpers and cardigans to book and PE bags. All orders placed with Tesco will earn the School a 5% donation.

Uniform for Boys

White shirt or white polo shirt (with logo if possible)

Navy sweatshirt/jumper (with school name and logo if possible)

  • Navy trousers (or shorts for summer)
  • Dark or white socks
  • Sensible black shoes (not trainers) 

Uniform for Girls

  • White shirt or white polo shirt (with logo if possible)
  • Navy sweatshirt or cardigan (with school name and logo if possible)
  • Navy trousers
  • Navy skirt or pinafore dress
  • Blue/white check dress (for summer)
  • Dark or white socks
  • Sensible black shoes (not trainers) heels should not exceed 5 centimetres.

 

Jewellery or trainers should not be worn. Hairstyles and hair attire should be simple and not include hair gel or any other hair styling products. (Can we please save the "trendy" hairstyles for after school).  Longer hair should be tied back for practical and safety reasons.

PE Kit

  • Navy or black plain shorts
  • White T-shirt
  • Black plimsolls
  • Trainers, jogging bottoms or tracksuit and a pack-a-mac for outdoor occasions 

Parents should ensure that their child has PE kit in school every day, in order that the teachers can deliver the National Curriculum for PE.

FILM NIGHT

The PTA will be holding a Film Night on Friday 21st September.  They will be showing Coco.   Please return your completed slips to school ASAP.

New Intake - Parent Tours

We will be holding 4 tours for our new September 2019 intake.  These will take place on:
15th October at 1.45pm
5th November at 1.45pm
26th November at 1.45pm
7th January 2019 at 1.45pm
Please call the school office to book a place.  Please note that due to space we cannot accomodate prams/pushchairs. Thank you

PLEASE NOTE it is the responsibility of parents to apply for a school place at the correct time.  You will not receive any letters from Essex County Council to inform you that you must apply for your child's school place. 
 
*  From the 12th November 2018 you can apply online for your child's primary school place.
*  You must submit an application by the national closing date 15th JANUARY 2019

FLOOD !

If you can, please pop along to St Andew's Church between the 20-22 September as they are holding an exhibition in relation to the Flooding which took place in Wickford in 1958.  Entry is free and there will be lots of interesting photos, films and articles from the Wickford Community for you to take a look at.
