Maths Homework for Year 6 - 8th November - 22nd November

As part of our next topic, we would like you to find out about significant events in history between 1948 and 2018 and present them on a timeline. The events need to be in chronological order, labelled and illustrated. You may want to include information about when, why, where, who, what and how.

Please ensure your homework is no larger than A4, is beautifully presented and able to go up on the wall.

Homework needs to be returned to school on Friday 30th November

Here is an example of a timeline:

A big "Thank You" to parents for providing boxes. Below are some examples of the children's work where they re-created a room on the titanic either 3rd,2nd or 1st class.

Below are the links for the lyrics and words for the songs that we will be singing at the sing-a-thon on 6th November.

Creative Art Club

Monday evening saw the first week of our  new and exciting creative art club. We are researching inspirational reading quotes and are planning to put these onto canvases using paints and other materials.

The children will be learning and performing the poem set out below at the upcoming Poetry Slam which will be taking place at the CLC.

During our Upper School Assembly children created an Accostic Poem following on from our theme for that week's assembly which was Friendship:

F riendly, family friends first
R especting others and self
I ncluding everyone
E xciting games to share
N on-judgemental no-one deserves to be bullied
D eserving a friend
S ay nice things
H elp everyone
I nvite them into friendship groups
P lay with people, be polite.
