Off on our Holidays

Year 3 and 4 children had a great day going on "holiday" to various countries around the world.

We went through Passport Control, browsed around Duty Free, waited in the Departure Lounge until we could board our flights to our exciting destinations.... Here are just a few photos from our travels ...

During our Upper School Assembly children created an Accostic Poem following on from our theme for that week's assembly which was Friendship:

F riendly, family friends first
R especting others and self
I ncluding everyone
E xciting games to share
N on-judgemental no-one deserves to be bullied
D eserving a friend
S ay nice things
H elp everyone
I nvite them into friendship groups
P lay with people, be polite.

Below is a great example of Year 4 Literacy:

Arabian Princess - A Poem by Millie C.

Arabian Princess
With your hair so dark,
Your hypnotic green eyes
Could give out a spark.

When you smile your teeth
Shine so bright
When you close your mouth
They are put out like a light.

Your live colour skin
Feels so smooth,
Even a liar could not
Disprove.

When you wear your clothes
They fell so silky blue,
All the shades in the world
Could not compare to you.

When you wear jewellery
All around your nbeck,
Everything about you
Could never ever be a wreck.

Your scarlet, ruby sheeks
Always look healthy,
Anyone would notice
That you are very wealthy.

When you dance elegantly
You glide through the air,
When you twirl, your drerss
Always spins up in a flair.

Arabian Princess
Full of mystique,
You don't need any perfume
Because you are so sweet.
